The 12th Annual Hong Kong Scholastic Championships were played over two weekends, June27th and July4th.
Spread over 4 divisions, a combined total of 83 players vied for top individual honors as well as scoring for their team.
Weekend1, the top 4 boards have scored the same score and the results have to be resorted by tiebreak.
Individual Results:
1st Place – Charles Chan and Jacob Yui Him Chan.
They are declared Joint Champions as they have exactly the same tiebreaks with same scores.

In division2, one of the most contested sections, once again had another uncontested winner in Kayden Chan. The competition was very tight going into the final rounds, with 9 kids with in contention of a top 3 finish.

Weekend2, division3 saw many young kids from division1 and 2 taking the challenge and playing up to the next age division, with some playing quite well against older opposition. Division3, Under11, is quickly becoming one of the most highly contested and toughest age groups, with many of the most promising kids in Hong Kong. Continuing his quick upward improvement, Chiu David Zion took top honors with 4.5points, just barely outscoring Wang Julian Samuel on tiebreaks.

Division4 was dominated by the top junior players in Hong Kong, Kwong Wing Ki James. For a change, the U16 and U18 sections was a nice turn out of 16 players. The next two top spots were closely contested going into the last round.
