EXCITING NEWS from ActiveKids – The Chess Academy!!
In our constant effort to bring the best to our students, we are proud to welcome GRAND MASTER Andres Gallego to our ActiveKids TCA Team!
GM Andres is a Champion from Columbia. He will share his talents and inspirational chess journey with his students, as well as his passion for football and exercise. Some of his achievements include:
- Colombia National Champion 2005 – 2007 U16, U18, U20
- International Master since 2011; Grand Master since 2018
- First Colombian to achieve a GM norm in Russia
- Winner of the Capablanca Open in Cuba 2017
- Champion of the Badalona Open in 2018, Spain
- Colombia National University Champion in 2011, 2012 and 2015
GM Andres will be in good company with our High Caliber TCA Coaches:
Coach Manuel (IM – International Master)
Coach Sigappi (WFM – Women FIDE Master)
Coach Chris (CM – Candidate Master)
Coach Sydney (NI – National Instructor)
Coach Edgar (USCF Expert)
Coach Andres will be conducting high level classes for both children and adults during the week and on weekends.
